Spartanburg, S.C. – August 5, 2024 – As the off-highway electric vehicle market continues to flourish, so does Deutronic USA. When the iVT Expo USA is held August 20-21 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center near Chicago, Deutronic (booth 960) returns for its third consecutive year with award-winning and expanded product offerings and greater service capabilities.
Many leading automotive and commercial vehicle OEMS throughout the world rely on Deutronic’s intelligent power electronics and test systems. Their evolving charging technology is helping to redefine the off-highway sector with scalable automation and electrification solutions.
“If you need DC-DC converters for your application, Deutronic has a large number of standardized DC-DC converters between 50W and 3kW. We have the ability to develop completely customized solutions or can adapt a product to our customer’s needs,” asserts Tobias Wanzke, Head of Business Development for Deutronic.
“Thanks to our extensive in-house research and development and production departments, we are extremely flexible in terms of providing a high level of vertical integration. Our competence centers here in the United States, as well as in Germany and China, have the experience to support the development of all requirements on-site. We have complete electro-mechanical solutions and both component and contract assembly. This gives our customers, as our motto says, Power and More.”
One example that will be on display is the award-winning DVCHx3 converter. Rated IP65, IP67 and IP6K9K for dust and waterproof protection in adverse conditions, it offers an interlock function and cooling via the contact surface with short-circuit, overtemperature and no-load protection or self-protection features. The cooling system is flexible and can be adapted to the application.
“Many of our customers in the construction, municipal and special machinery sectors use it to increase power or for different sub-networks,” explained Wanzke. “The different versions for all common voltage variants make it very flexible for them. Additional devices are often added according to specific vehicle options, which also saves on the cost since the necessary power can be installed for the respected version.”
Wanzke pointed to other key products that will be in booth 960, including the OBC battery charger, the DVC153/453 compact and powerful converter for hybrid and electric vehicles, and the DVC1903 converter.
“The DVC1903 converter series is very compact with a power output of 1.9kW, which makes it unique around the globe,” he acknowledged. “With its high automation production values, it is one of our most popular converters used in intralogistics, construction machinery, and compact industrial trucks in particular because high power is required in a small space. The device can also be controlled via CAN.”
Wanzke said attendees can learn about Deutronic’s added value which supports these products.
“Since this show was held a year ago, we have invested more resources into our service centers. Here in the U.S., we have earned a high level of respect from customers for our responsiveness. Combined with Deutronic subsidiaries and partners, we have the capability to service customers in any part of the world quickly and efficiently.”
